A Hispanic client came to Radianté Spa seeking help for significant hyperpigmentation in her Brazilian and mons area. Because her skin naturally pigments easily from irritation, she was especially vulnerable to post-inflammatory darkening. While receiving laser hair removal at a national chain, she was told they needed to use higher laser settings due to her coarse hair. The overly aggressive energy levels caused irritation and inflammation, leading to deep, widespread darkening of the entire area.
